Local processing Video tools

Extract audio from video

Extract a supported video audio track and save it as PCM WAV locally.

The video is decoded in this tab. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use this tool

Choose a video and extract its complete decodable audio track as 16-bit PCM WAV.

Private processing

Your input is processed in this browser tab. PixelKit does not upload it to a file-processing server; leaving the page clears the current work.

Formats and limits

The browser must support the video and audio codecs. Inputs are limited to 200 MB and 10 minutes; decoded audio above 256 MB is rejected. Output is WAV, not MP3.

Frequently asked questions

Does this extract audio from every video?

Only if the browser can decode the video container and its audio codec. Videos without an audio track are reported clearly.

Can the audio be saved as MP3?

No. The output is 16-bit PCM WAV, and browser decoding may resample the source audio.

Is my video sent to a processing server?

No. The browser decodes the selected file and creates a WAV download locally.
